The first step in our process is to complete a form to ensure we have correct contact details. Once you have consulted our Fees and are ready to submit an application, please use the Application Form. If you require more information or would like to book an individual tour of the appropriate site, please use the Enquiry Form. This visit can be made with or without accompanying children and gives an insight into classroom life as well as the chance to talk with teachers and the Head of School.
Three day visits and assessments
As a next stage, we offer a free three day visit to give both students and teachers the opportunity to get to know each other. It also allows the school to evaluate the student academically and observe the prospects of social adaptability to the school ethos. German language skills are not a pre-requisite to attend BBS. In Nursery and Reception we use an informal means of assessment developed by the staff and used throughout the school year. This involves observing the children as they go about their activities and assessing their progress.
The admissions process concludes with our feedback or a meeting with parents, students (if applicable) and Head of School to analyse the trial period and assessment results. A place in the school may then be offered. Applications for admission are generally possible at any time in the academic year if places are available, but we do not admit students to Year 11 (10th Grade) or Year 13 (12th Grade). Starting during the academic year in Years 10 & 12 may not be possible as the IGCSE and IB Diploma courses are designed for two full years of study.
